POSST entered the premium D2C bicycle market in India needing a visual identity that could compete with international brands on a domestic production budget. Their brief was direct: make the bikes look extraordinary across every surface — marketplace, social, dealer collateral, and the brand website.
The constraint was real: premium alloy and carbon frames are highly reflective and unforgiving under poor lighting. The solution had to be repeatable across new model launches, not a one-off effort.
The creative direction was built around controlled studio light that respected the bike's silhouette and frame geometry. Hard-edged rim lighting defined the tubes against a dark background while shaped fill light kept the drivetrain readable without flattening the frame.
The oblique three-quarter angle became the visual signature — enough foreshortening to convey speed and athleticism, but with enough face-on geometry to read clearly as a product image. Shot on seamless dark backgrounds with a consistent grammar across the range, so all POSST models look like a family while each bike retains individual character.
Each bike was shot in a single coordinated session across three setups: hero oblique, profile full-length, and close-up component details. Tethered shooting allowed real-time review and approval.
Post-production focused on consistent tonality across the range — particularly challenging given the variety of frame colours and finish types (matte, satin, gloss) in the POSST lineup. All images delivered with clipping paths for marketplace and isolated versions for campaign use.

The resulting image library became the visual foundation for POSST's online presence — from their brand website to Amazon and Flipkart listings. The oblique hero shots have consistently outperformed category competitors in marketplace click-through. The relationship has continued across multiple product launches as POSST has expanded its range.
